Tonight at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales (Europe) will be a lightweight championship fight between undefeated Irish champion Terry Flanagan and Puerto Rican top contender, Orlando Cruz, who will move from the featherweight rank to the lightweight division after his defeat from featherweight Mexican champion, Orlando Salinas in 2013. What is so significant about this bout is that if Orlando Cruz wins the fight it will be the first time in the history of world boxing that a openly-admitted Gay boxer will receive a championship boxing title (not that there's anything wrong about that) but..folks... times are changing since the era of old champs like Joe (The Brown Bomber) Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammed Ali isn't it! But I guess this is acceptable as long as Orlando don't make any derogatory comments after he's hit in the face like "Stop it!" or "Aye vente pa ya!"

Cont: No gay parade today! Orlando Cruz lost his bout last night on the 8th round to undefeated champion Terry Flanagan in the lightweight division causing the Tweeter channel don't go all ape-shit! I guess our society is not yet ready to crown the queen of boxing instead of a king!

HONORABLE MENTION-Celia Espinosa
Celia on her graduation night
This segment is dedicated to those, who had made a positive impact or change not only to them selves, but to their loved ones and the surrounded community as well. Celia rebounded from a hard mixture of drug abuse, family despair and homelessness, but then with the help of the good Lord, she was able to find herself once again on the difficult path of righteousness and put her life back together. The following story you are about to read is a true account of Celia's testimony.
I was 13 years old when I started using Marijuana. Over the next 16 years, my drugs escalated to heavier drugs. At the end of my last run, I realized I had lost everything. I was bouncing around from house to house. During the final 8 months of my 18 years of drug addiction and because of my lifestyle, I was forced to give up custody of my 5 children to their father. Shortly after that, I ended up in jail; a place I didn't want to be, with charges I never wanted to have. When released, my drug use started all over again, as if it had never stopped. My kid's father refused to let me see my kids. My eldest son, Shaunie, ran away from home and found me and never left my side. Because of that, I exposed him to a way of life he never should have seen.
One day I broke down. I needed my children. I couldn't do enough drugs to numb the pain I was feeling. I finally reached a point in my life where I was done. I reached out to God for help. I had hit rock-bottom and didn't know where else to turn, so I prayed for a door to be opened. I called my sister and I asked her to find a program for me. Shortly after hanging up with her, she called me back and told me that she had found one.
About a week later, I entered the Rescue The Children center on May 27, 2015 with four of my five children. Shaunie stayed with his father. Upon entering, I didn't know what to expect, but I already knew that God was at work in my life. I'm not going to lie. Being in a program, filed with woman, I knew challenges were bound to come up. I was worried about how I was going to react when they did. So from day one, my Bible became my best friend. Every spare moment I had was in God's word. So every morning, I would recite the versus before starting my day. I wasn't going to rely on what I thought I knew or what I felt or even the way things looked. I was going to rely on God, and His Word and His Promises.
At the Rescue The Children center, my relationship with God grew into a relationship I never knew I could have. I was finally where I needed to be. I not only found myself, I found a person I never knew existed. During my time in the program, I developed skills that I will use the rest of my life. A year and a half ago, had you told me I would be where I'm at today, I would have told you, "You bumped your head!"
Right now I have a healthy relationship with my family and I have real friends, who love me for me. I also have my children. Thank God that they are happy and healthy. I am now employed full-time as House Manager for RTC. I get to share with other women what God has done in my life and what he has brought me out of. I AM A LIVING TESTIMONY! "...With God all things are possible"
Mathew 19:26
Awesome story Celia and congratulations on your success. May it continue for the New Year that follows and have a Happy Thanksgiving to you and everybody else, who reads this story!

WHAT'S HAPPENNING HERE!
Last Saturday on Shaw Avenue and Blackstone there was supposedly 400 protesters against the newly-elected presidency of Donald Trump, which is also happening in other parts of this country where people (mostly Democrats) are getting injured, stabbed and even going to jail. Why are they doing this? I mean...I'm just as pissed off as the next guy that Trump won, but who are we really hurting with these riots if not ourselves? It's not going to change things I assure you! If the people in this country did not want this to happen then what should of been done was to assemble these same groups, who are currently un-happy, and campaigned out in the streets by knocking on every door and made sure that the other 43% (who didn't voted) to get out and do what is expected from every American citizen....VOTE! What good is all this ruckus now! Let's show the rest of the world that we have our act together and behave appropriately and see what actions our new president will set for our great nation to follow. If he becomes to be a big disappointment then we all should get together in three years and work our butts off to campaign for the next Democratic President of 2020...Hmm shall we say...Michele Obama maybe...think about it!

CAREFUL WHO YOU ROOM WITH!
My nephew, Matt, asked me, "Cruzy, my Criminology teacher told me that my Mom can't kick me out of the house if she ever gets mad at me...is that true?"
I was a little astonished, "We use to do it all the time whenever they called us."
Matt: "Yeah according to him, if they receive mail at that residence then they would need to be serve papers like a regular tenant, in fact, if they get kicked out their constitutional rights would be violated."
I laughed at his remark because I couldn't even count the times that I, during my patrol days, have responded to calls where the owner(s) have asked the Police to remove someone from their residence, who were living there. Usually, the un-wanted subject would give very little resistance and actually volunteer to leave the premises, but I started to wonder...is he right?
"Shit..I don't care...I'll throw his ass out anyway!" said Matt's Mother, Mari. (Yes..she's my sister too)
So I decided to do a little research on this topic and I was surprised what I found out.
According to several resources-In the State of California, anyone living at the residence for 30 days or more (with or without a lease agreement), receive mail at that particular address, any exchange of money or a verbal agreement of receiving rent money is considered to be a legal tenant and must be provided with a formal written notification of the legal due process of eviction. It is best to seek counseling from a Landlord and Tenant Attorney, which would most likely result following the more expensive route and conduct the proper eviction process, so don't go changing the door locks once your roomie leaves the house or else you might run into some constitutional violation issues.
Actions you may want to consider if the following events occur or you want someone to leave your residence:
1. If you fear for your safety or the safety of the other person(s) living at your residence because of the un-wanted subject, call the Police immediately and obtain a Restraining Order.
2. If the un-wanted subject(s) commits any acts of domestic violence against the other tenant, may it be a spouse, girlfriend or any other person, call the Police immediately.
3. If the tenant fails to pay rent (if it was agreed upon) then you must follow the eviction process.
4. Substantially interferes with the comfortable living standards of the other tenants. (Eviction process)
5. Matierailly damage any section of the rental property. (Eviction process)
6. Used the rental property for any un-lawful purposes. (Call the Police immediately and commence the Eviction process)
7. Committed unlawful conduct involving weapons or ammunition. (Call the Police immediately and commence the Eviction process)
8. Violated the provisions of the lease or sub-lease. (Commence Eviction process)
* You might just try to ask the other party to leave, you never know, that person(s) might feel un-wanted and leave voluntarily. (Just don't go begging for them to come back later or else you're just acting ridiculous!)

BEWARE OF A NATIONWIDE SCAM! It's happening here and now!
John receives a phone call this morning from a female with a stern voice, "Mr. Cano, this is Jayne Miller from DMS systems, we are a private collection agency hired by LeNor's Family Furniture regarding a delinquent account that requires your immediate attention, which includes the remaining balance of $3,987, but for a one-time payment today of $1,500, we will indicate on the balance portion of your bill as paid in full and clarify your credit record."
John: "How can I pay for this? Do I have to go to the furniture store?"
Jayne Miller: "If you have a credit card we can do this over the phone, but first I need to confirm your identity. Are the last four numbers of your social security 7685?"
John: "Yes"
Jayne Miller: "Is your address still 680 Shaw Avenue, Fresno, California, Apartment 206?"
John: "Yes it is?"
Jayne Miller: "Are you still employed with Fresno Community hospital?"
John: "Yes..I am?"
Jayne Miller: "Excellent, if we can complete this transaction in the next thirty minutes, we'll reduce your payment an additional $100 dollars making your total balance $1,400, but you need to act immediately or else your total balance can change to $15,000 in the next three years. You will then receive a subpoena by mail to appear in civil court and you'll be issue a arrest warrant if you fail to appear."
John: "Let me get my wallet."
This is a actual true story. The names have been changed to protect the innocent...ok..enough of that bullshit...but this scam is for real and people, like my poor neighbor, are buying into this scam and losing their hard-earn money because they truly believe that they are saving tons of money. What makes these scams believable is by the amount of knowledge these caller(s) have regarding your delinquent account, social security number, home address and telephone number etc...and this is happening now specifically in our area!
Do not give anybody your credit card number unless: You have conducted business with that person(s) or that company previously, If it's the 1st. time you are making a business transaction make sure it is a reputable company or do a little research or background on that person, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO! And look for the red-flags, for instance, you should of been receiving a few notices in the mail regarding a past-due account before that business paid money for a collection agency to come after you or before sending a subpoena. And what about this arrest warrant issued in your name for not paying your bills bullshit...c'mon...seriously...what is this North Korea? If you happen to receive one of these suspicious phone calls then get your local Police off their asses and have them do their job! Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to notify the city's Chamber Of Commerce about this scheme because they have various ways to alert the public for you never know the next victim could very well be your Abuelitos, who are the biggest source of victims! https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/debt-collector-real

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN...with a bag of weed in his hand!
Just think of it, instead of going to the store to buy some smokes or a six-pack of Bud it's going to be "I'll have a doobie please!" California-64 supports legalizing recreational Marijuana for persons age 21 or older and establishes certain sales and cultivation. A subject can possess up to 28.5 grams of Marijuana and 8 grams of concentrated Marijuana, but smoking on or near school grounds, day-care or youth centers are not permitted. You can grow up to 6 Marijuana plants on your property, but the area must be secured and out of public's view, so read the new initiated statute carefully! Individuals, who got busted for this offense will be considered for re-sentencing.
On a positive note-This state law can put money into California's pocket. Can you imagine all the dope that was burned up in the past by Law Enforcement...man oh man!
P.S-My wife was sitting at our breakfast table dreading over the passing of this bill, but there were Mothers just like her in the 1930's grieving over the successful closing of the Prohibition period where alcoholic beverages (beer) was legalized.
